Crashpad Climbing Academy’s annual event – combining Squad selection with a youth climbing festival open to every tier, from Wildlings through Foundation.
Overview
The 2026 Crashpad Youth Festival & Squad Trials Event is the first edition of our flagship annual event for youth.
Squad Comp: Current Development climbers compete in Squad Trials for one of 10 places on the new Crashpad Squad. This will be in a flash finals-format on the Titan wall.
Youth Comp: Foundation climbers compete in their own age-category comp in various sectors throughout the gym, with the top climbers invited to a month-long trial with the Development groups.
Wildlings Comp: Wildlings have their very own mini-comp in the Minipad.
The day closes with NICAS certificate presentations and an awards ceremony.
Who can take part
Age categories are based on the age a climber turns by 31 December of the event year, in line with IFSC convention.
