Crashpad has now been operating for over 10 months and our gym is bustling, the community is growing. As we open more of our amenities, including the cafeteria and yoga studios over the next few weeks, we’re expecting to get busier.
We are therefore looking for friendly, reliable, and motivated people to join our team!
This role is primarily focused on front desk operations, but also includes basic social media duties and occasionally assisting our coaching team.
Climbers, or people with Level 1 Coaching training will be given preference.
You will be expected to complete Level 1 ClimbMT certification as part of your probation.
About the Role
As Front Desk Staff, you’ll be the welcoming face of Crashpad, helping to create a positive first impression and smooth experience for all visitors. You’ll manage customer service and daily operations at the desk according to our standard operating procedures, contribute to our social media presence, and sometimes support climbing sessions as an assistant coach.
Front Desk (main focus):
- Greet and check-in members and visitors.
- Handle memberships, retail sales, and customer inquiries.
- Keep the front desk professional, organised, and welcoming.
- Support community events, birthday parties, and group bookings.
- Proactively guide our members to products and services offered by Crashpad
Social Media (general support):
- Capture photos and short videos of the gym, events, and community.
- Share content for Crashpad’s social channels (stories, posts, updates).
- Help keep our online presence fun, engaging, and reflective of the Crashpad vibe.
Coaching Support (secondary responsibility):
- Assist the Youth Academy Coach during training sessions.
- Lead or Assist with Fresh Start sessions, Bouldering Fundamentals and other coached sessions at Crashpad
- Provide guidance and encouragement to climbers of different ages and abilities.
- Help maintain a safe and engaging climbing environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented personality.
- Passion for climbing and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable with taking photos/videos and basic posting on social media.
- Be a good fit with the community and the Crashpad team.
- Must be able and willing to undergo training with us to achieve ClimbMT Level 1 Coaching certification (required to assist with coaching).
